Jack Dunning - Potter

Jack Dunning creates functional and decorative stoneware in his home studio along the Echo River, while playing with glaze colours and shapes. His work is available at local art sales, local galleries and at the studio. Gerlinde Haefele - Country Collectables

     Gerlinde designs one of a kind floral art using natural materials and superior quality life-like silks. Her specialties are in creating unique decor and custom orders tailored for her individual clients whether for their home environment or for corporate customers. Her business, Country Collectables, has been operating for over sixteen years in Sault Ste. Marie and the surrounding area. Ken Hanson- Painter

Ken Hanson was born and educated in Toronto, Canada. After serving with the R.C.A.F. he returned to the field of engineering for many years. A keen interest in art led him to studies with Carl Schaefer, Albert Franck, Aba Bayefsky and Zoltan Szabo. Ken began painting full time in 1970 and has participated in many juried and invitational shows. His love of nature has taken him on painting trips across Canada and many parts of England. Sandra Hodge- Potter

Sandra Hodge is a visual artist, freelance reporter and educator in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. Along with teaching English, Sandra works with students in her Clay in the Classroom program and runs a Lining Literature Series, with workshops available to schools and community agencies. Sandra's series brings to life creatures and characters from classic and popular children's literature in clay and paper Mache. Wilde Strawberries Studio

Pay a visit to Wilde Strawberries to see the unique, hand-quilted work of Kathleen Parr.  Customers can choose from quilts of all sizes from our in stock selection, or participate in the creative process by helping to design their own custom made future heirlooms.  In addition to all manner of hand-quilted home accessories and fashion accents, visitors can check out handmade soaps decorated with flowers grown in our garden.  Perhaps one of our whimsical, original, "Strawberry Patch Dolls"  will capture your heart and find a new home with you!  The studio is open by appointment year round, and by chance most days in the summer months at 1030 Sailors Encampment Drive, just three miles from downtown Richards Landing.  For information phone Kathleen at 705-246-2281.

 

 


 

Wigmorized Works

Ruth Wigmore brings you the land, it's people and wildlife of Canada, Britain, Australia and New Zealand with a rich amusing and traditional use of photography in the forms of photo cards, tags, past cards, bookmakers, large and small calendars and framed and unframed enlargements. Lately her hands are busy creating books and notepads. You can find Ruth at the many juried art shows in the Algoma District. Little People Studio

Zoey Wood-Salomon is self-taught and the originality of her paintings, in acrylic on paper, canvas and birch bark, is a combination of everyday experiences around her and the traditional legends of her people. Zoey's own line of cards and prints are painted in the traditional woodland style that reflects her  Owada-Ojibway heritage. She is self taught and likes to be known as a Bahweting painter. Bahweting means the rapids of Sault Ste. Marie, the traditional gathering place for the Anishnabec. Zoey is from the Wikwemikong Unceded Indian Reserve on Manitoulin Island.
